Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and qualified Senior Social Worker/Senior Practitioner to join our dedicated Learning Disabilities Team. This pivotal role requires a professional with a strong background in working with individuals with learning disabilities, demonstrating leadership and advanced practice skills to drive forward our commitment to excellent care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage complex casework involving individuals with learning disabilities.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, care planning, and reviews in line with the Care Act.
- Provide expert advice and support to social workers and other team members.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including health and education professionals, to ensure a holistic approach to service user needs.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and best practice guidelines.
- Participate in and contribute to team meetings, supervision sessions, and training programs.
- Advocate for the rights and needs of individuals with learning disabilities, promoting their independence and inclusion.
Essential Requirements:
- Social Work England registration.
- Extensive experience working with individuals with learning disabilities.
- Demonstrated expertise in complex case management and advanced social work practice.
- Strong understanding of the Care Act and other relevant legislation.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Commitment to promoting the well-being and empowerment of service users.
