Pay Rate: £35 per hour

About the Role

Gloucestershire County Council is seeking an experienced Adults Social Worker to join its Localities Team.
You will work with adults, older people, carers, and individuals with long-term conditions, ensuring they receive appropriate support, personalised care, and safeguarding oversight where required.

This is a varied role involving assessments, multi-agency working, and delivering strengths-based intervention to improve independence and wellbeing.


Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out Care Act assessments and reviews.
  • Work with adults with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, mental health needs, and age-related conditions.
  • Complete safeguarding enquiries under Section 42 of the Care Act.
  • Develop personalised care and support plans focused on independence and choice.
  • Work in partnership with health teams, housing, voluntary sector organisations, and carers.
  • Maintain accurate case records and prepare professional documentation.
  • Use strength-based conversations and community-led support approaches.
