Are you a skilled Social Worker with a passion for safeguarding and assessment? Join our Assessment and Safeguarding Team in North London, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and Prioritise Workload: Ensure deadlines are adhered to with a focus on high standards of written work and effective interventions and outcomes.
- Person-Centred Assessments/Reviews: Undertake assessments/reviews in a holistic manner, focusing on individual strengths and preventative options to maximise independence.
- Support Carers/Family: Assess, review, and provide support to carers and family members.
- Mental Capacity Act Compliance: Ensure assessments/reviews align with the Mental Capacity Act, making judgements on significant difficulties in engagement and ensuring advocacy support is available. Carry out Mental Capacity Assessments and make Best Interest decisions when appropriate.
- Outcome Achievement: Use the assessment/review process to ensure service user outcomes are achieved and hold providers accountable for meeting these outcomes.
- Record Keeping: Maintain full, clear, and accurate records.
- Action Changes in Support: Ensure any changes to support arrangements are actioned, present cases to the panel for additional funding, work with brokerage for necessary changes, and ensure care packages are value for money.
- Care Act 2014 Compliance: Work within the framework and principles of the Care Act 2014, ensuring assessments/reviews are accessible, person-centred, holistic, and focused on wellbeing and prevention.
Requirements:
- Must be registered with Social Work England.
- Proven experience in managing and prioritising workloads effectively.
- Strong understanding of the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act.
- Excellent assessment and planning skills.
- Ability to maintain high standards of written work and effective interventions.
- Commitment to supporting carers and families.
