Are you an experienced Adult Social Worker looking for a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the well-being of individuals in Essex? Join our esteemed local authority as a Qualified Adult Social Worker in the Review Team. We are seeking a dedicated professional with a minimum of 2 years' post-qualifying experience to support our efforts in ensuring the ongoing welfare and safety of vulnerable adults.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and reviews of adults' care and support needs in line with statutory requirements.
- Work collaboratively with service users, their families, and relevant stakeholders to develop and implement care plans that promote independence, dignity, and well-being.
- Provide expert advice, guidance, and support to individuals and their support networks, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.
- Undertake safeguarding investigations and interventions as necessary, ensuring the protection of vulnerable adults from harm or abuse.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, reviews, and interventions in accordance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues across multidisciplinary teams, external agencies, and partner organizations to deliver integrated and holistic support services.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, CSS, or equivalent).
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Minimum of 2 years' post-qualifying experience working with adults in a social care setting, preferably in a review or assessment team.
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to adult social care, including the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005.
- Strong assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and advocacy skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to professional standards and ethics.
