The Role
Kingston Council is seeking an experienced Adults Social Worker to join its Localities Service on a locum basis. This role involves working with adults with a range of needs, supporting them to live independently and safely within the community.
You will carry out strengths-based assessments, care and support planning, and safeguarding work under the Care Act, working closely with service users, carers, and partner agencies.

Key Responsibilities
- Complete Care Act assessments and reviews
- Develop and implement care and support plans
- Manage a varied caseload of adults with complex needs
- Undertake safeguarding enquiries under Section 42
- Work collaboratively with health and partner agencies
- Maintain accurate, timely case recordings
- Support service users to maximise independence and wellbeing
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
- Experience working within Adult Social Care, ideally within a Localities or Community Team
- Strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and safeguarding procedures
- Experience completing assessments, reviews, and support planning
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Strong communication and organisational skills
