Are you an experienced social worker with a passion for safeguarding children and promoting their welfare? The London Borough of Havering is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practitioner to join our Child Protection Team on a locum basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead complex cases within the Child Protection Team, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children at risk.
- Support and mentor social workers, offering guidance and professional development.
- Work collaboratively with families, partner agencies, and professionals to deliver high-quality child protection services.
- Conduct assessments, implement child protection plans, and attend multi-agency meetings.
- Ensure compliance with statutory guidelines and council policies.
Requirements:
- Social Work England registration is essential.
- Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding.
- Strong understanding of legislation, procedures, and best practices in child protection.
- Ability to manage complex caseloads and work within tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
