Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex assessments and provide expert analysis to inform robust decision-making.
• Support practitioners with reflective case discussions, modelling best practice and high-quality recording.
• Offer professional guidance, coaching and stability within the Assessment Service.
• Drive timely, child-centred interventions that uphold safety and permanency planning.
• Participate in service development, audits and practice improvement initiatives.
• Create strong relationships with partner agencies to promote effective multi-agency safeguarding.
• Ensure statutory responsibilities are met with a focus on quality, consistency and positive outcomes.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ post-qualifying UK experience in Children’s Services.
• Strong knowledge of assessment frameworks, child protection processes and statutory requirements.
• Confident practitioner with the ability to support, mentor and influence others.
• SWE registered and committed to ongoing professional development.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.
