Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex assessments and provide expert analysis to inform robust decision-making.
- Support practitioners with reflective case discussions, modelling best practice and high-quality recording.
- Offer professional guidance, coaching and stability within the Assessment Service.
- Drive timely, child-centred interventions that uphold safety and permanency planning.
- Participate in service development, audits and practice improvement initiatives.
- Create strong relationships with partner agencies to promote effective multi-agency safeguarding.
- Ensure statutory responsibilities are met with a focus on quality, consistency and positive outcomes.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ post-qualifying UK experience in Children’s Services.
- Strong knowledge of assessment frameworks, child protection processes and statutory requirements.
- Confident practitioner with the ability to support, mentor and influence others.
- SWE registered and committed to ongoing professional development.
- Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.
