Advanced Practitioner - Lambeth

Lambeth Council is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practitioner to join their Family and Children’s Support and Protection (FCSP) Service. This is an excellent opportunity to lead and support a committed team in delivering high-quality services to children and families in a borough that values innovation and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert supervision, mentoring, and guidance to social workers within the FCSP service, supporting their professional development.

  • Lead complex assessments and care planning using Lambeth’s trauma-informed and restorative practice models.

  • Support social workers in delivering high-quality, evidence-based interventions to improve outcomes for children and families.

  • Collaborate with multi-agency partners to ensure coordinated and effective support.

  • Chair strategy meetings, case conferences, and multi-agency planning meetings as required.

  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of decisions, plans, and case progress in line with statutory guidelines.

  • Promote best practice, drive service improvements, and contribute to a learning culture within the team.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.

  • Significant post-qualifying experience in children’s social care, ideally within a safeguarding or family support setting.

  • Strong understanding of Lambeth’s restorative practice model and relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989.

  • Excellent leadership, mentoring, and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to work flexibly in a hybrid role, with office attendance as required.
