Contract:  Part Time Permanent (4 days a week)

We are currently seeking a dedicated Child Protection Chair to join a dynamic team in Slough on a part-time basis.

As a Child Protection Chair, you will play a crucial role in leading and chairing child protection conferences, ensuring the welfare and safety of vulnerable children. You will be responsible for providing independent oversight and challenge to the decision-making process, as well as ensuring that the child's voice is heard and their best interests are at the forefront of all discussions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work, with extensive experience in child protection and safeguarding. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and professionals. You will also have a thorough understanding of relevant legislation and statutory guidance, with the ability to make informed and evidence-based decisions.

 They need an Child Protection Conference Chair that is experienced in auditing the work done by social workers and chairing meetings within the borough to ensure good standards are met. 

 You will need to have at least 2 years of experience in a Quality Assurance base role within Childrens Services to be eligible for this post in Berkshire as an Child Protection Conference Chair.

 You also need:

•    Social Work England Registration

•    Social Work Qualification

•    Right to Work in the UK
