Do you have a passion for helping young people in care?
If so, a Children's Trust in Berkshire is looking for a Looked After Children Social Worker to join their team.
This role offers the chance to help shape the future of Looked After Children in the region, and provide them with the support they need to thrive. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of stakeholders, including parents and carers, to ensure that the voice of the child is heard.
The successful applicant will be a qualified social worker and have a detailed knowledge of Children in Care procedures. You will have experience of working with Looked After Children and have the ability to build strong relationships with a range of service users.
You will need to be able to provide information and advice to young people in care, and will be responsible for the assessment and review of Looked After Children cases. You will also be expected to provide support and guidance to families, and will be involved in developing care plans.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, as well as the ability to use their own initiative to ensure that Looked After Children receive the best possible care. You will need to be able to work well under pressure and think creatively to come up with solutions to problems.
