Elevate your social work career with a pivotal role that commands a premium rate of £38 per hour, while making a tangible difference in the lives of children and families in the West Midlands. A local authority is seeking a Qualified Consultant Social Worker to enhance their Children's Statutory services team with professional expertise and leadership.

As a Consultant Social Worker, you will be at the forefront of complex service delivery, contributing significantly to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children within the community. Your role will be integral to the management team, supporting CHAD Team Managers and providing authoritative guidance on case direction.

Your ability to listen, discuss, and negotiate with partners is crucial. You will ascertain concerns and collaboratively agree on pathways that prioritise children's needs, ensuring safe and timely decisions. Your expertise will be called upon to chair strategy discussions, attend MARAC, MAPPA, and liaise with both internal and external partners to secure professional agreement and optimal outcomes for children and their families.

Moreover, you will have the chance to specialise in areas of practice that are critical to the team's success, such as Child Sexual Exploitation, Child Criminal Exploitation, Missing Children, Female Genital Mutilation, and Domestic Abuse. This role not only allows you to contribute to the broader social work landscape but also to develop niche expertise that can shape the future of social services.

To excel in this role, you must hold a social work degree or equivalent and be registered with Social Work England (SWE). Your experience will demonstrate a robust understanding of the complexities involved in Children's Statutory services and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
