Child Protection Chair and Conference Review - Locum Position
Are you a seasoned social worker with extensive experience as a Child Protection (CP) Chair? We have an outstanding opportunity for a qualified social worker to join a highly regarded local authority in the West Midlands as a CP Chair and Conference Reviewer.
Role Details:
- Position: CP Chair and Conference Reviewer
- Type: Locum
- Rate: £38 per hour (Umbrella rate)
- Location: West Midlands
Key Responsibilities:
- Chair child protection conferences and ensure that all statutory requirements are met.
- Conduct thorough and impartial reviews of child protection plans.
- Facilitate multi-agency discussions to develop robust safeguarding strategies.
- Provide authoritative guidance and support to social workers and other professionals involved in child protection cases.
- Ensure that the voice of the child is central to all decision-making processes.
- Maintain high standards of record-keeping and reporting in line with legal and policy requirements.
Requirements:
- SWE (Social Work England) registration.
- Proven experience as a CP Chair, with a deep understanding of child protection procedures and best practices.
- Exceptional ability to manage and lead complex multi-agency meetings.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy.
