Role Overview: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Locum Child Protection Chair to join our team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for chairing Child Protection Conferences, ensuring that all processes and protocols are adhered to, and that the voice of the child is at the centre of all decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Chairing Initial and Review Child Protection Conferences.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and local policies.
  • Promoting the involvement and engagement of children and families in the child protection process.
  • Providing clear, concise, and accurate records and reports.
  • Liaising with multi-agency partners to ensure effective safeguarding arrangements.
  • Supporting and advising social workers and other professionals on child protection matters.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
  • Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding.
  • Proven ability to chair complex multi-agency meetings.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
