Position: Emergency Duty Social Worker
Location: Oxfordshire
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £43,421 - £46,464 per annum (plus 15% out-of-hours allowance)

Role and Responsibilities: As an Emergency Duty Social Worker, your primary responsibility will be to respond to urgent referrals outside of normal working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. You will conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals and families facing crises, offering appropriate interventions and support services to address their immediate needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing emergency support and intervention to individuals at risk of harm or in crisis situations.
- Conducting thorough assessments to identify risks and develop safety plans.
- Collaborating with partner agencies, including police, health services, and housing authorities, to coordinate effective responses.
- Offering crisis counseling and emotional support to individuals and families in distress.
- Completing accurate and timely documentation, including case notes and reports, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Social Work qualification (Diploma/Degree in Social Work)
- Registered with Social Work England
- Previous experience in emergency duty or crisis intervention preferred
- Strong assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in high-stress situations
