Role: Senior Social Worker

Pay: Up to £38.50 per hour

Islington Council is seeking a dedicated Senior Social Worker to join their Children in Need Service. This is a great opportunity for an experienced practitioner to take on a frontline role focused on delivering high-quality, child-centred interventions.

The Children in Need Service works with children and families requiring ongoing support under Child in Need and Child Protection plans. As a Senior Social Worker, you will manage a caseload of complex cases, contribute to care planning, and provide direct support to children and their families to improve outcomes and ensure their safety.

You’ll play a key role in multi-agency working, attending core groups and child protection conferences, and supporting the development of less experienced staff through peer guidance and mentoring.

• Social Work England registration

• A recognised Social Work qualification

• Completed ASYE (or equivalent experience)
