Are you a dedicated and experienced Social Worker looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to carry out Special Guardianship Order (SGO) annual reviews. This role is essential in ensuring the well-being of our SGO carers and the children in their care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Review all completed questionnaires returned by our SGO carers.

  • Identify cases that require further discussion and make arrangements to meet with carers as needed.

  • Assess changes in carers' circumstances and evaluate the potential impact on the financial and/or support aspects of the post-SGO support plan.

  • Work closely with the Head of Service, providing regular updates on progress.

  • Maintain an organized and methodical approach to handling multiple reviews efficiently.
     

Requirements:

  • Social Work England (SWE) registration is essential.

  • Proven experience in social work, particularly with Special Guardianship Orders.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work at pace.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to manage sensitive information and handle complex cases with discretion and professionalism.
