About the Role:
Camden's Fostering Family and Friends Team is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join our dedicated team. This role focuses on supporting and assessing family and friends who step in to care for children when their parents are unable to do so. You will play a key role in ensuring that children are placed in safe and nurturing environments within their extended family network.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough assessments of potential family and friends carers, ensuring they meet the necessary standards to provide care.

Provide ongoing support and supervision to approved family and friends carers, addressing any issues or challenges they may face.

Work closely with children, carers, and other professionals to develop and review care plans that promote the well-being of the child.

Facilitate training and support groups for family and friends carers to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Prepare detailed reports for panel presentations and court proceedings, ensuring all decisions are well-documented and evidence-based.

Collaborate with various teams within Camden to ensure a coordinated approach to fostering and child care.

Participate in team meetings, supervision, and training sessions to contribute to the continuous improvement of the service.
