Fostering Social Worker - Barnet Council

Team: Foster Carers Assessment Team

Hourly Rate: £37.00 per hour

Contract: 3 Month Rolling Contract

Are you an experienced Social Worker with a passion for supporting carers and fostering families? Barnet Council is looking for a dedicated and skilled Fostering Social Worker to join their Carers Assessment Team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Completing Viability Assessments (VAs), Special Guardianship Orders (SGOs), and Connected Carer Assessments.
• Quality Assuring viability assessments to ensure high standards and compliance.
• Supporting and supervising less experienced staff within the team.
• Preferably, experience with Child Protection (CP) and care proceedings work.

We are looking for candidates with:

• Proven experience in completing VAs, SGOs, and Connected Carer assessments.
• Strong experience in quality assuring viability assessments.
• Experience in supervising less experienced staff and providing guidance.
• Preferably, a background in CP and care proceedings work.
