Salary: From £47/hr
Duration: 3 months with the possibility of extension

Summary: We are supporting a dedicated fostering agency committed to providing exceptional care and support to foster carers, children, and young people. We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to take on the role of Interim Fostering Registered Manager. This pivotal position will guide the fostering services through a period of strategic development and operational excellence.

Role Overview: As the Interim Fostering Registered Manager, you will lead the strategic development and operational management of their fostering services. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the recruitment, assessment, supervision, training, and ongoing support for foster carers, as well as the children and young people in their care. You will be responsible for maintaining compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements, specifically The Fostering Services (England) Regulations 2011 and the National Minimum Standards for Fostering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the strategic development of fostering services.
  • Oversee the recruitment, assessment, and approval of foster carers.
  • Ensure high-quality supervision, support, and training for foster carers.
  • Maintain robust systems for monitoring and supporting the welfare of children and young people in foster care.
  • Ensure all services comply with The Fostering Services (England) Regulations 2011 and the National Minimum Standards for Fostering.
  • Promote best practices and continuous improvement within the agency.
  • Provide leadership and support to a dedicated team of fostering professionals.
  • Manage resources effectively to ensure operational excellence.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a senior role within fostering services.
  • In-depth knowledge of The Fostering Services (England) Regulations 2011 and the National Minimum Standards for Fostering.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Social Worker England Registration
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Relevant social work qualification and registration with Social Work England (or equivalent).
