Solihull Children Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) to join our team. This is a crucial role in safeguarding children by managing and overseeing allegations against professionals and volunteers who work with children.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee the process of investigating allegations made against professionals and volunteers working with children.

Provide advice, guidance, and support to employers, organizations, and other stakeholders in managing allegations.

Ensure all cases are managed in line with statutory guidance, local policies, and procedures.

Liaise with various agencies and professionals to ensure effective multi-agency working.

Maintain accurate records and produce reports as required.
Requirements:

Social Work England (SWE) registration is essential.

Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding.

In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, guidance, and best practices.

Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
