Introduction

Buckinghamshire Council is seeking an experienced and confident Social Worker to join its MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub) based in Aylesbury. This role is ideal for a practitioner who thrives in a fast-moving setting, has strong analytical and decision-making skills, and is confident in identifying risk and safeguarding children at the point of referral.

Key Responsibilities

  • Screen and assess incoming safeguarding referrals.
  • Undertake threshold decision-making and risk analysis.
  • Share and analyse information from partner agencies.
  • Make informed recommendations for next steps, including statutory intervention.
  • Contribute to strategy discussions and safeguarding plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case records in line with statutory guidance.

Candidate Requirements

  • Social Work England registration and right to work in the UK.
  • Experience within MASH, Safeguarding, or frontline assessment teams.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and multi-agency working skills.
