Sutton Borough Council is looking for an experienced Social Worker to join their First Contact (MASH) service. This is a crucial frontline role where you will be the first point of contact for safeguarding concerns, working with partner agencies to assess risk and determine the most appropriate pathway for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities
Screen and triage referrals from professionals and the public
Conduct multi-agency checks and risk assessments
Make informed threshold decisions in line with statutory guidance
Escalate cases requiring further assessment or intervention
Record high-quality, timely information to support safeguarding decisions
Candidate Requirements
Social Work England registration
Minimum of 3 years' post-qualified experience in a MASH, duty, or assessment team
Confident in multi-agency working and making threshold decisions
Strong communication and analytical skills
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to complete one)
