About the Role
We are seeking a Team Manager to lead our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) within the Single Point of Access (SPA) Team. This is a vital role at the heart of our integrated front door, where early help and statutory safeguarding decisions are made swiftly and collaboratively.

As the SPA/MASH Team Manager, you will report to the Deputy Head of Service and lead a diverse and dedicated team, including Social Workers, Contact Information Officers, and Business Support Officers. You will play a crucial role in ensuring consistent high-quality oversight, robust management, and timely safeguarding responses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clear leadership, supervision, and management oversight across the SPA team.

  • Drive performance and ensure timely, appropriate decision-making at the front door.

  • Oversee and support the daily running of the team, ensuring a well-coordinated and responsive service.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners (e.g. health, education, police) to enhance multi-agency working and shared understanding of SPA processes.

  • Monitor and respond to performance indicators to continuously improve service delivery.

About You
We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a qualified social worker (Social Work England registered) with a recognised management qualification or significant management experience.

  • Has a strong background in children’s safeguarding, ideally with prior experience in a MASH or similar integrated front door environment.

  • Demonstrates excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

  • Has experience supervising and developing multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Is confident working in a dynamic, high-volume environment with competing priorities.

  • Can work across our offices in Twickenham and Kingston at least three days per week.
