Social Worker – Assessment Service – Bexley Council

Location: Bexley
Pay/Salary: up to £51,000 per annum
Office Working: 3 Days per week
Contract: Permanent

We are currently working with Bexley Council to find an experienced Social Worker for their Assessment Service within Children’s Services. With a stable management team and a supportive workforce, Bexley are looking for someone with solid experience to join their service and support children and families.

Duties

  • Completing Child and Family Assessments, including Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries

  • Undertaking assessments to identify risk, need and strengths within families

  • Developing and implementing plans to safeguard children and promote their welfare

  • Undertaking direct work with children and families, ensuring the voice of the child is captured

  • Working collaboratively with partner agencies and professionals to achieve positive outcomes

  • Preparing reports and providing analysis and evidence-based recommendations

  • Attending meetings and, where required, Court proceedings

What you need

  • Social Work Qualification

  • Social Work England registration

  • Experience working within Children’s Social Care

  • Experience within an Assessment Service

  • Enhanced DBS (provided by us)
