Are you an experienced Social Worker or Senior Social Worker looking to make a genuine difference within a progressive and relationship-focused authority? Swindon Borough Council is expanding its Family Safeguarding Service and is looking for passionate practitioners who are committed to improving outcomes for children and families.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of children and families subject to Child Protection, Child in Need, and care proceedings
- Complete high-quality assessments, reports, and plans in line with statutory responsibilities
- Build strong, effective relationships with children, families, and partner agencies
- Undertake direct work with children to ensure their voices remain central to planning
- Participate in strategy discussions, core groups, child protection conferences, and court work where required
- Contribute to a positive team culture focused on restorative and relationship-based practice
- Support and mentor less experienced staff where appropriate (Senior Social Worker level)
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification
- Registered with Social Work England
- Experience within Children’s Safeguarding/Family Safeguarding services
- Strong assessment, risk management, and court work experience
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Full UK driving licence preferred
