Role Overview:
- Manage and reduce the backlog of Child Protection cases, ensuring timely and effective interventions
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify risks and develop comprehensive safeguarding plans
- Work closely with multi-agency partners to coordinate and deliver targeted support to children and families
- Prepare detailed reports, attend court proceedings, and provide expert testimony as required
- Contribute to the overall improvement and turnaround of the Child Protection service
- Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with legal requirements, policies, and best practices
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
- Extensive experience in child protection, including complex case management
- Strong assessment, analytical, and report-writing skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage a high-volume caseload effectively
- A commitment to safeguarding and improving outcomes for children and families
- Flexibility, resilience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
