Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Adults Social Worker to join our Locality Team. This role is perfect for a dedicated professional with a strong background in adult social work who is ready to take on additional responsibilities, including mentoring junior staff and leading complex cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed assessments of adults' needs, risks, and strengths within the community.
  • Develop, implement, and review person-centered care plans that promote independence and well-being.
  • Lead on complex cases, providing expert guidance and decision-making in line with best practices and statutory requirements.
  • Offer supervision, support, and mentoring to junior social workers and team members.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, external agencies, and community resources to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, including the Care Act 2014 and safeguarding protocols.
  • Act as a key point of contact for service users, families, and professionals, providing advice and advocacy as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with statutory and local authority guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Qualification: Must hold a degree in Social Work.
  • Registration: Must be registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience: Significant experience within adult social work, preferably within a locality or community setting.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage complex cases and provide leadership within a team.
  • Skills: Strong assessment, care planning, and case management skills, with a commitment to person-centered practice.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with service users, families, and professionals.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work effectively in a hybrid role, balancing in-office and remote work.
