Pay Rate:

  • Social Worker: £32 per hour
  • Senior Social Worker: £40 per hour

Are you a dedicated and passionate Social Worker looking to make a difference in the mental health field? East Sussex's Mental Health Team is seeking qualified professionals to join our dynamic and supportive team.

1. Social Worker

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, including risk assessments.
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to the needs of individuals with mental health conditions.
  • Provide support and guidance to clients, helping them navigate complex social and health care systems.
  • Work closely with a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) including doctors, nurses, and therapists.
  • Attend team meetings and participate in case discussions.

Requirements:

  • Registration: Must be registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a mental health setting is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication, empathy, and organizational skills.

Working Arrangements:

  • Office presence required for 2 days per week, with flexibility for remote work or community visits on other days.

2. Senior Social Worker

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of 4 to 5 complex cases, providing expert support and guidance.
  • Conduct Care Act assessments and Mental Capacity Act (MCA) assessments.
  • Collaborate with key workers in the MDT to coordinate and deliver comprehensive care.
  • Mentor and support less experienced social workers within the team.
  • Lead and contribute to strategic planning and service development.

Requirements:

  • Registration: Must be registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience: Extensive experience in mental health social work, with a proven track record in handling complex cases.
  • Skills: Leadership, advanced assessment skills, and in-depth knowledge of relevant legislation.

Working Arrangements:

  • Office presence required for 1-2 days per week, with flexibility for remote work or community visits on other days.
