Medway Council is looking for a committed and qualified Social Worker to join our Locality Team. This is a unique opportunity to work within a dynamic and supportive environment, focusing on providing high-quality services to children, families, and individuals within the community. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring that vulnerable members of our society receive the support and protection they need.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a varied caseload, conducting thorough assessments, and creating and implementing tailored care plans.
• Work closely with children, families, and individuals to address their needs, promote their well-being, and safeguard their rights.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including health, education, and other social care professionals, to deliver comprehensive support services.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with statutory requirements and council policies.
• Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings, ensuring that the best interests of service users are always at the forefront of decision-making.
• Provide expert advice and support to colleagues and other professionals within the locality team.

About You:

• Qualifications: Must be registered with Social Work England and hold a recognized social work qualification.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience in a locality team or similar setting, with a strong understanding of the challenges faced by diverse communities.
• Skills: Strong communication, assessment, and report-writing skills, with the ability to manage complex cases and work efficiently under pressure.
• Location Flexibility: The role requires 2-3 days in the office, with additional flexibility to work from home or other locations as needed.
