Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub | Supportive Team | Hybrid Working
City of Doncaster Council is looking for a dedicated and resilient Social Worker to join their Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). If you're at least two years post-ASYE and want to make a real impact in children's lives, this is a fantastic opportunity to work at the frontline of early safeguarding intervention.
In this dynamic role, you’ll assess contacts and referrals, carry out threshold home visits, and work within a highly skilled, multi-disciplinary team to make decisions that protect and support children at risk.
Key Responsibilities:

Triage contacts and referrals into children's services

Make informed threshold decisions in collaboration with partners

Undertake occasional home visits to assess risk and safety

Ensure accurate and timely recording of assessments and decisions

Liaise with Police, Health, Education and other agencies within the MASH
-
Maintain a child-focused and strengths-based approach throughout
Practice Model:
Doncaster’s MASH is a high-functioning, fast-paced environment that promotes effective early safeguarding intervention through strong multi-agency collaboration. Social Workers in the team are supported by experienced managers and access to ongoing learning and supervision.
Essential Requirements:

Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England

At least 2 years’ post-ASYE experience in children’s social care

Knowledge of threshold decision-making and safeguarding frameworks
-
Ability to work quickly and effectively under pressure

Strong assessment and communication skills
-
Experience of working in or with multi-agency safeguarding teams
