Location: Bolton
Team: Safeguarding Children
Pay: £37–£39 per hour (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, 37 hours per week
Ofsted: Good

Bolton Council is looking for an experienced Children’s Social Worker to join their busy Safeguarding Children team. This is a full-time position offering a balance between working from home and in the office.

You’ll be responsible for working with children and families under Child in Need and Child Protection plans, as well as taking cases through Court proceedings. You’ll need to be confident managing complex caseloads and delivering high-quality assessments and reports within statutory timescales.

This is an excellent opportunity for a social worker with solid safeguarding experience to join a supportive team in a well-organised authority with a recent Good Ofsted rating.

What You’ll Need:

  • Social Work England Registration

  • Social Work Qualification

  • At least 3 years’ experience in safeguarding

  • Experience in Child Protection, CIN, and Court work

  • Strong assessment and report writing skills

  • Flexibility to travel locally when required
