Rate: £230 per day
Working Pattern: Part-Time – Wednesday (8:30am–4:00pm) & Thursday (12:30pm–4:00pm)
Contract: Temporary (until the end of term, with potential extension to the end of the academic year)
Start Date: ASAP
About the Role
Sheldon Phillips is currently supporting a well-established Nursery School in North West London to recruit a Qualified SEND Teacher (Early Years) on a part-time basis.
This position is to provide cover for an existing member of staff and would suit a nurturing, experienced teacher with a strong background in SEND and Early Years education.
You will play a key role in delivering inclusive, child-centred learning while ensuring children with SEND receive tailored support to help them thrive during their crucial early development years. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact at a vital stage of development within a supportive and collaborative setting.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate Early Years lessons.

Provide targeted support for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Differentiate learning to meet individual needs.

Work closely with support staff and the wider team to ensure effective provision.

Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress.

Maintain accurate and compliant record keeping.

Manage behaviour positively and consistently, promoting a safe and supportive learning environment.
Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.

Proven SEND experience within an Early Years or nursery setting.

Experience working with nursery-aged children.

Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies and early childhood development.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
