Rate: £230 per day
Working Pattern: Part-Time – Wednesday (8:30am–4:00pm) & Thursday (12:30pm–4:00pm)
Contract: Temporary (until the end of term, with potential extension to the end of the academic year)
Start Date: ASAP 


About the Role

Sheldon Phillips is currently supporting a well-established Nursery School in North West London to recruit a Qualified SEND Teacher (Early Years) on a part-time basis.

This position is to provide cover for an existing member of staff and would suit a nurturing, experienced teacher with a strong background in SEND and Early Years education.

You will play a key role in delivering inclusive, child-centred learning while ensuring children with SEND receive tailored support to help them thrive during their crucial early development years. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact at a vital stage of development within a supportive and collaborative setting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate Early Years lessons.

  • Provide targeted support for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

  • Differentiate learning to meet individual needs.

  • Work closely with support staff and the wider team to ensure effective provision.

  • Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress.

  • Maintain accurate and compliant record keeping.

  • Manage behaviour positively and consistently, promoting a safe and supportive learning environment.


Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.

  • Proven SEND experience within an Early Years or nursery setting.

  • Experience working with nursery-aged children.

  • Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies and early childhood development.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
