Role: Qualified Social Worker
Location: Cambridgeshire
Team: Family Safeguarding
Pay: Up to £38 per hour
Contract: Locum

Cambridgeshire County Council is looking for a dedicated Qualified Social Worker to join their Family Safeguarding team. If you're passionate about keeping families safe and children supported, this is an opportunity to make a real difference in a well-established, forward-thinking service.

In this role, you’ll carry out statutory visits for CIN, CP, and CIC cases, chair meetings, and hold a mixed caseload that includes PLO and S31 Care Proceedings. You’ll be completing court reports, risk and parenting assessments, and playing a key part in the duty rota. The team is collaborative and well-supported by experienced Senior Practitioners and Team Managers.

Hybrid Working:

Enjoy a flexible working model with 2–3 days in the office and the rest from home.

What You’ll Need:

  • Social Work England Registration

  • Social Work Qualification

  • At least 3 years’ experience in Children’s Services

  • Strong experience in CIN, CP, CIC, Court Proceedings, and Assessments

  • Confidence in managing risk and chairing meetings

  • Flexibility to travel locally when required
