Medway Council is recruiting an Experienced Social Worker to join their Children and Young People Disability Team. This is a vital role within a specialist service supporting children and young people with disabilities and complex needs.

As part of this team, you’ll work directly with children and families to assess needs, implement care and support plans, and coordinate multi-agency responses. The focus is on improving outcomes and ensuring that children are safeguarded while also supporting their development and independence.

You’ll hold a varied caseload, including Child in Need, Child Protection, and Children Looked After work, while working in a supportive environment that values reflective supervision and professional growth.

Medway offers a competitive salary package, plus a £5,500 market premia and a £3,000 annual retention payment after one year of service—demonstrating a real commitment to retaining high-quality social work professionals.

To be considered, you must have:

• Social Work England registration

• A recognised Social Work qualification

• Proven experience in statutory Children’s Services
