We are working with a Local Authority in West London that is looking for a Qualified Social Worker to join their Referral and Assessment team in Childrens Services.

They need a Qualified Social Worker that is ready to help vulnerable children and their families really succeed and affect change. This Local Authority is known for its supportive and stable management team. They aim to build empathic, respectful and trusting relationships with colleagues, children and families within the borough to promote positive change. 

This Local Authority is expanding its Referral and Assessment team from 8 to 16 Social Workers. 

This role requires you to undertake assessments under S17 within 25-30 days and close with signposting to voluntary/community services, step down to Safe/Early Help or very occasionally, transfer to the long-term team under CIN Plans. If you identify the threshold for the likelihood of significant harm to be met, then a strategy meeting will convene and this is the point of transfer, as the long-term team will complete the S47 enquiries.

Duty is every 4 weeks and social workers are expected to be office-based for their 1 duty week and then work from home at all other times.

You will need at least 3 years of experience in Childrens Services to be eligible for this post in West London as a Qualified Social Worker.
