Purpose of the Job: As a Qualified Social Worker in the Referral and Assessment Team, you will manage a varied caseload involving different levels of complexity. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing and implementing care plans, and evaluating actions to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and their families. Your role is crucial in the initial stages of intervention, ensuring timely and effective responses to referrals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough and timely assessments of children and families
- Developing and implementing comprehensive care plans
- Evaluating and reviewing cases to ensure positive outcomes
- Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, external agencies, and families
- Maintaining accurate and detailed case records
- Advocating for the best interests and welfare of children
- Participating in team meetings, case discussions, and ongoing professional development

Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with current SWE registration
- Experience in children's social work, particularly in referral and assessment
- Strong assessment, planning, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
