We are looking for an experienced and committed Social Worker to join the Child Protection Team in Children's Services for Kingston and Richmond Council. As the successful candidate, you must be registered with Social Work England and have experience in holding CIN, CP, PLO and Care Proceedings cases.
The role involves a minimum of 3 days in the office and duty only 2 to 3 days a month with another Social Worker and a manager. The caseload maximum is 17/18 children. There is parking available and the hours are 36 hours a week, 9am - 5.15pm (Monday - Thursday), 9am - 5pm (Friday).
In this role, you will be part of a positive team culture and a multidisciplinary team. You will be able to make a measurable difference in the lives of vulnerable children and their families. This is an excellent opportunity to build your career and gain invaluable experience in social work.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A relevant degree in Social Work
- At least 2 years' post-qualifying experience
- The ability to use initiative, and make decisions based on sound judgement
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A valid driving licence
