Responsibilities:

  • Managing a caseload of children in care, ensuring their needs are met through effective care planning and intervention
  • Conducting thorough assessments to understand the needs and risks of each child
  • Developing and implementing personalised care plans in collaboration with children, families, and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Providing support and guidance to foster carers and residential staff to ensure high-quality care
  • Preparing detailed reports and attending court proceedings when necessary
  • Engaging with children and young people to understand their views and wishes, ensuring their voices are heard and respected
  • Liaising with other social work teams and external agencies to provide comprehensive support for children in care

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
  • Proven experience in working with children in care or looked after children
  • Strong assessment, analytical, and report-writing skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a diverse caseload
  • Commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of children and families
