Qualified Social Worker – Children With Disabilities (Aged 0 to 17) – Kent

Pay:  Up to £38 per hour
Contract:  Full Time Locum

Now that the country is easing restrictions on social interaction and life in general, our client in Kent is looking for an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join their flourishing Children With Disabilities (Aged 0 to 17) team in Childrens Services.

They need a Qualified Social Worker that is ready to help vulnerable children and their families really succeed and affect change. There are lots of progression opportunities too, with regular panels in place for internal promotions. The Managers are there to help you achieve your goals as much as you are there to help them achieve theirs.

You will need to have at least completed an ASYE plus 2 years of experience in Childrens Services to be eligible for this post in Kent for a Qualified Social Worker.

As well as an ASYE, you also need:

•    Social Work England Registration
•    Social Work Qualification
•    Right to Work in the UK

This is an exciting time to join this service, with a recent restructure going from an all-age disabilities service to a Children with Disabilities and Adults with Disabilities services, now is the time to join to be a part of an impressive improvement plan.  

The new group manager for this service has really rocked the boat and changed the way this service is working with a focus not only on the service users but also a focus on all social workers within the service, with monthly service meetings where the people on the frontlines (you the social worker) get their chance to have their voices heard. 

Regular caseload reviews to ensure good social workers are not being burnt out. This group manager understands that depending on the complexity of your caseload and how many of them are in court can really have an impact on the amount of work that is needed to be done.  

This role offers 1 or 2 days a week in the office and the rest from home, as long as visits are being done in person and service meetings are being attended once a month in person.
