Enfield Council is seeking a committed and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join their Safeguarding Team. Key Responsibilities

  • Hold and manage a caseload of children and families subject to safeguarding concerns
  • Undertake child protection enquiries, assessments, and intervention planning
  • Develop and implement care plans focused on positive outcomes
  • Prepare and present reports for child protection conferences, reviews, and court proceedings
  • Work in partnership with multi-agency professionals to safeguard and promote the welfare of children
  • Contribute to a collaborative, supportive team environment within Safeguarding services

Candidate Requirements

  • Social Work England registration
  • Strong post-qualified experience in safeguarding/child protection services
  • Knowledge of the Children Act 1989 and related legislation
  • Excellent assessment, communication, and report-writing skills
  • Ability to work confidently with complex cases and high-risk situations
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
