Are you an experienced social worker looking for a focused role in supporting looked after children? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Social Worker to join our dedicated Looked After Children (LAC) team in West London. This position offers the chance to work closely with children and young people in care, with no court responsibilities, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality care and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Caseload Management: Support a caseload of looked after children, ensuring their needs are assessed and met through tailored care plans.
  • Advocate for Children: Act as an advocate for the children in your care, ensuring their voices are heard and that they receive the support they need.
  • Collaborative Working: Work alongside foster carers, residential staff, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for the children.
  • Care Planning: Develop and review care plans, placement plans, and pathway plans to support children in achieving their personal and educational goals.
  • Multi-Agency Working: Work closely with a range of multi-agency professionals, including health, education, and independent reviewing officers to meet the holistic needs of the children.
  • Monitoring Progress: Monitor and review the progress of each child, ensuring their care plans are implemented effectively and updated as needed.
  • Mentoring: Provide guidance and support to less experienced team members as needed.
