Are you a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker looking for a fulfilling role in children's services? Our client, Achieving for Children, is seeking passionate professionals to join their Looked After Children and Children in Care Permanency Teams. Purpose of the Job: As a Qualified Social Worker in the Looked After Children and Children in Care Permanency Teams, you will manage a varied caseload, providing comprehensive assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of actions to support and promote the welfare of children in care. You will work closely with families, carers, and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for children, facilitating their journey towards permanency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough assessments of children and their carers
- Developing and implementing effective care plans tailored to individual needs
- Providing ongoing support and intervention to looked after children and their carers
- Collaborating with schools, healthcare professionals, and external agencies
- Ensuring accurate and detailed case records
- Advocating for the best interests and rights of children in care
- Participating in team meetings, case discussions, and ongoing professional development
- Facilitating and managing the permanency planning process for children in care

Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with current SWE registration
- Experience in children's social work, particularly with looked after children and permanency planning
- Strong assessment, planning, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
