An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Social Worker to join a dynamic Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team within a local authority in West London. This crucial role involves working at the frontline of child protection, conducting risk assessments and safeguarding children by coordinating with multiple agencies to ensure their safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safeguarding Assessments: Conduct thorough and timely risk assessments to identify potential safeguarding concerns for children and young people.
- Multi-Agency Collaboration: Work closely with a range of professionals from health, education, police, and other social care services to gather and analyse information to inform decision-making.
- Decision-Making: Contribute to key safeguarding decisions based on the information gathered from partner agencies, ensuring swift and appropriate actions are taken to protect vulnerable children.
- Information Sharing: Ensure effective and appropriate information sharing between agencies, adhering to confidentiality and data protection standards.
- Referral Management: Manage incoming safeguarding referrals, providing a swift response to high-risk cases and ensuring follow-up actions are clear and documented.
- Risk Analysis: Analyse the level of risk for each case, ensuring all safeguarding measures are in place and timely interventions are made when needed.
- Supervision & Support: Provide support and guidance to less experienced social workers, offering supervision and promoting good practice within the team.
- Case Discussions: Lead and contribute to MASH strategy meetings, reviewing and assessing the effectiveness of safeguarding interventions.
