Qualified Social Worker – MASH – Surrey

Role:  Qualified Social Worker

Pay:  up to £38 per hour
Contract: Full-Time Locum

Our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) plays a critical role in protecting vulnerable adults by facilitating effective information sharing and decision-making among professionals.

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Qualified Social Worker to join our MASH team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a range of agencies to ensure the timely and effective safeguarding of adults at risk. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a thorough understanding of adult safeguarding practices and the ability to make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of risk and need for adults referred to the MASH team.
  • Gather and analyse information from multiple agencies to inform decision-making.
  • Collaborate closely with professionals from health, police, housing, and other partner agencies.
  • Develop and implement safeguarding plans to protect adults at risk.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of all interactions and decisions made.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and Surrey Council’s policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Social Work England Registration: Must be registered as a Social Worker with Social Work England.
  • Experience: Proven experience working within a MASH team or a similar multi-agency environment.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of adult safeguarding legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexibility: Adaptable and able to manage a dynamic and varied workload.
