Key Responsibilities
- Hold and manage a caseload of children in care aged 0–18
- Undertake statutory visits, assessments, and care planning in line with legislation
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and foster carers to promote stability
- Prepare and present reports for care planning meetings, reviews, and court proceedings
- Work collaboratively with fostering, health, and education services to support children’s outcomes
- Ensure that children’s voices and wishes are central to all planning and decision-making
Candidate Requirements
- Social Work England registration
- Post-qualified experience in children in care, safeguarding, or child protection teams
- Good knowledge of the Children Act 1989 and relevant legislation
- Strong assessment, communication, and report-writing skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-agency framework
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
