Purpose of the Job: As a Qualified Social Worker in the Referral and Assessment Team, you will manage a diverse caseload involving various levels of complexity. You will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of appropriate actions to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and their families. Your role is critical in the initial stages of intervention, ensuring timely and effective responses to referrals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting thorough and timely assessments of children and families
  • Developing and implementing effective care plans
  • Evaluating and reviewing cases to ensure positive outcomes
  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and external agencies
  • Ensuring accurate and detailed case records
  • Advocating for the best interests and welfare of children
  • Participating in team meetings, case discussions, and continuous professional development

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration
  • Experience in children's social work, particularly in referral and assessment
  • Strong assessment, planning, and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
