Social Worker – Youth Offending Team
Youth Justice | Court Work | Sutton
Sutton Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Youth Offending Team. You’ll manage a varied caseload of children and young people with a range of needs and risks primarily related to offending behaviour.
Role Overview:
As a Case Manager within the Youth Offending Service, you will:
- Undertake assessments and produce high-quality reports (including Court and Panel reports)
- Manage and coordinate intervention plans aimed at reducing the risk of reoffending
- Hold cases involving out of court disposals and statutory court orders
- Undertake court work, including participation in the duty rota providing advice and representation
- Work closely with children, families, and partner agencies to deliver positive outcomes
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
- Previous experience in a Youth Justice setting
- Experience managing cases subject to statutory court orders and out of court disposals
- Strong skills in assessment, risk management, and report writing
- Confidence in undertaking court work and contributing to multi-agency safeguarding

- Pay up to £37.57 per hour
