Salary: Up to £33.30 per hour

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Children in Care (CIC) Social Worker to join our dedicated Reunification Team at Birmingham Children’s Trust. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to a project focused on supporting children under care orders and working towards safe and sustainable family reunifications.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a caseload of up to 15-16 children who are subject to care orders, placed with parents or connected carers.

  • Developing and implementing plans for discharge from care or Special Guardianship Orders (SGO).

  • Conducting parenting assessments and preparing court statements.

  • Engaging with children, families, and multi-agency teams to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in Children in Care (CIC) or Special Guardianship Orders (SGO).

  • Strong assessment and court statement writing skills.

  • Ability to start within the next month.

  • Social Work England registration.
