Safeguarding Social Worker

Swindon Council are looking for a Experienced Social Worker to join their Family Safeguarding Service. This is a Full-Time Locum Social Work role.

About The Team:

They are expected to manage complex caseloads; for example, children deemed to have high level of need and a number of assessed risks and offer professional evidence-based opinion within the organisation and to others. They chair a range of child case meetings, offering support to Child Protection conference on children known to them and Childcare reviews where they will be required to produce high quality assessments and reports for a range of functions.

Key Responsibilities and Skills:

· Undertake comprehensive assessments including parenting assessments in a timely way to inform development of outcome focused care plans with Children and their Families.

· Undertake care proceedings within the court, both private and public.

· Initiate and complete within court timescales and achieve permanency plans for children including adoption.

· Understand and respond to complexity of risks and are required to evidence on records, including providing analysis of their interventions with children and families.

About You:

To apply for this role, you will need least 3 years post qualification experience. It’s essential you have knowledge and experience working within Children in Need and or Child Protection.

BA(Hons) in Social Work and to be registered with Social Work England (SWE).
