Children’s Social Worker – Duty and Assessment
Bracknell Forest Council | Pay up to £42 per hour | Locum
Bracknell Forest Council is seeking an experienced Children’s Social Worker to join their Duty and Assessment Team on a locum basis.
In this role, you’ll carry out needs-led, child-focused assessments that include outcome-focused plans. You’ll work alongside other professionals and partner agencies to assess children in need and undertake child protection enquiries. As part of the duty system, you’ll respond to child protection concerns, hold a caseload of single assessments under Section 17 and Section 47 investigations, and complete short-term intervention work where required.
This is a fast-paced and rewarding role where you’ll make a direct impact on the safety and wellbeing of children and families in Bracknell.
Please note: this is not a hybrid role – office presence to fulfil the duty rota responsibility is an essential requirement.
What You’ll Need:
- Social Work England Registration
- Social Work Qualification
- At least 3 years’ post-qualified experience in Duty and Assessment or Child Protection
- Strong assessment and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively with partner agencies in a multi-agency environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality, outcome-focused social work practice
